Wilkes Comic Con in a comic art, pop culture, and collectibles convention, that provides the best experience for its guests because it is a convention run by artists for artists and the community.
Currently a one-day convention, the Wilkes Comic Con has proven to be very popular, drawing guests from across North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia, and Kentucky. The Con’s Marketplace floor expanded from 35 artists and vendors in 2019 to 48 in 2021. Wilkes Comic Con features panel discussions, a cosplay contest, role playing, table-top gaming, and food trucks.
Initially run as a proof-of-concept as the Wilkes Mini Con in January 2014, it was rebranded as Wilkes Comic Con in July 2019. COVID-19 forced the postponement of the 2020 event. The con returned in July 2021, moving to the larger Stone Center.
2022 Is going to be an exciting year! By popular demand, Wilkes Comic Con is now being held on two dates: Winter on January 22, and Summer on July 16.
