If you’re coming to the Wilkes Comic Con, here are some things to know:
The Stone Center is located at 613 Cherry St, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659
From I-77: Take exit 73B to merge onto US-421 N towards Wilkesboro. Drive 19.7 miles then take exit 285 for Brushy Mountain Road towards Wilkesboro. Follow Oakwood Road and Wilkesboro Avenue to Wilkes County Board of Education Building on your right.
From Boone: Take US-421 S 38 miles (past the Walmart shopping center on your right). Use the left two lanes to turn left onto US-421 BUS. In 2 miles, turn right onto D Street and follow the CBD Loop to Wilkesboro Blvd. Turn right, then turn left onto Wilkesboro Avenue. Follow Wilkesboro Avenue to the Wilkes County Board of Education Building on your right.
The two closest ATMs are less than a half mile from the Stone Center in The Roses Express shopping Center.
Wilkes County has a wealth of restaurants for you to choose from after the con. We highly recommend our sponsors Dooley’s Grill and Tavern‘s hamburgers and Two Boros Brewery‘s pizza!
There are a wide variety of other local restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance including Cinder Bistro and The Lost Wombat.
We have several options for lodging in Wilkes County including the Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn, Quality Inn, and Red Roof Inn.
