The Dragon’s Den

The Dragon’s Den returns this Summer with a Super Smash Brothers Tournament, two RPG One Shot campaigns, and a Magic the Gathering Draft.

 

 



**NEW** Cosplay Cavern

This Summer we are introducing The Cosplay Cavern.  This special panel room is dedicated to all things cosplay.  In addition to panels hosted by cosplay professionals, our judging for the cosplay contest will take place here before the STAGE WALK in The Marketplace.

10:30 AM – Happy Plushie Fun Time!

Maya and Kai are back with one of our most popular events. Learn the basics of sewing your very own plushie! Begin your new life of sewing with just a few stitches.

For $5 get your very own plushie making kit. All of the supplies are included to prepare you for your new life venture!

 

 


11:30 AM – Prop Making with Craft Foam

Have you ever wanted to make cosplay armor or other prop pieces but aren’t sure where to start? Making props can be as simple as a trip to your local store with a craft section. This panel will discuss how to make props using sheets of craft foam with examples of finished works.


12:30 PM – Cosplaying on a Budget- Turning Second Hand Finds into Amazing Cosplay

Yes, Cosplay can be Beautiful and Affordable
Gain insight into some techniques that can save your budget while also allowing you to have beautiful cosplay. From cosplays on a budget to second hand finds you can transform inexpensive items into your favorite character. Thread Magnet Cosplay discusses making your own special fabric designs to recycling and repurposing in cosplay construction and design!

Join Darian Miller and artist Panzellie for an introduction to the process of publishing your own comic book. Bring questions and ideas to discuss!

 

 

 


11:30 PM – Great State Paranormal

“Who ya gonna call?” Great State Paranormal!

Back by popular demand, the Great State Paranormal is a group of paranormal investigators in Western North Carolina. Their goal is to investigate hauntings and spirit sightings while preserving native folklore. They are based at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in North Carolina.

They will be discussing the many hauntings and ghosts in and around Wilkes County.


12:30 PM – How TO Draw a Cartoon Werewolf

Special guest Chris Flick, of Capes n’ Babes, the master of caricature art, sketch covers, and WEREWOLVES, is here to teach YOU how to design and then DRAW an original cartoon werewolf!

All ages are welcome!

1:30 PM – Wrestling Panel

AwesomeMania returns to Wilkes Comic Con for the pro wrestling fan panel with Ben Taylor and Michael Lindenbaum as they discuss the current state of pro wrestling.

We’ll discuss AEW, WWE, Impact, NJPW, and so much more.

 

 


2:30 PM – Movie Screening and Q&A: Turn Around It’s Me featuring Kilted Creature
