The Wilkes Comic Con has moved to the Blue Ridge Outpost (Wilkes Mall)!
If you’re coming to the Wilkes Comic Con, here are some things to know:
The Blue Ridge Outpost (Wilkes Mall) is located at 1605 Curtis Bridge Road, Wilkesboro, NC 28697. It is located behind the Holiday Inn Express.
From I-77: Take exit 73B to merge onto US-421 N towards Wilkesboro. Drive 23.7 miles then turn right on Winkler Mill Road. In 300 feet, turn right on Winkler Street. Continue straight through the gate and turn right. Parking lots and entrance will be ahead in about 500 feet.
There is not an ATM at the facility. There are three ATMs in the Walmart parking lot less than a quarter mile from the Blue Ridge Outpost. (Wells Fargo, First Citizens, Cash Points)
Wilkes County has a wealth of restaurants for you to choose from after the con. We highly recommend our sponsors Dooley’s Grill and Tavern‘s hamburgers and Two Boros Brewery‘s pizza!
There are a wide variety of other local restaurants and coffee shops within a short drive.
We have several options for lodging in Wilkes County including the Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn, Quality Inn, and Red Roof Inn.
